Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick - #28 Beaubourd Brown

Jun 26, 2012

Sitting here watching Tia and Tamera and I swear I want every outfit Tamera wears which means I need a wardrobe upgrade.  The problem with that is it's so gloomy here in Germany sometimes that I don't even want to dress cute.  But hey that isn't what we are here for.  We're here for lipstick!  Another YSL lipstick and another neutral color.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick
Shade Purchased:  #28 Beaubourd Brown

$34 USD

Available at Saks

This is an easy nude color for me.  It isn't chalky or too pale and since it's creamy, there is no need to wear a gloss.  This is one of my new favorite nude lippies.

Thanks for stopping by!  Up next we will have some color...enough with the nudes!

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Lipstick - #3 Ultimate Beige

Jun 23, 2012

I added a couple more YSL Rouge Voluptes to my collection!  I fell in love after hauling the last two and I thought that I definitely needed more YSL in my life.  One thing that I have to say about these lipsticks though is although they are pigmented and creamy, they just don't last very long on the lips.  This is probably because they are so creamy and might be solved by wearing a lip liner, which I hate wearing usually.  Also, I don't know about you, but my lips are extremely dry and these do not wear off well on me.  They look horrendous after about an hour and a half if I don't reapply or refresh them with a bit of lip rubbing.  Okay, so why did I buy these again?  Oh yeah, for the pigmentation, the pretty colors and the gorgeous packaging of course...and because I'm a makeup addict!

It's not really Beige to me as it leans more pink and is darker than I expected it to be but this is a gorgeous color and very wearable for my complexion.  I like that this is a no manipulation needed lipstick, meaning I don't have to add a bunch of other products in order to make it work.

See what I mean, it looks a little pinky nude on me. Well the baby is waking up so I gotta go!

Yves Saint Laurent Blush Radiance #5

Jun 20, 2012

I'm currently sitting on the floor trying to type with one hand while my baby, who sweats like crazy when she sleeps, is propped on my shoulder!  This is why I have a hard time keeping up with my blog sometimes.  Most of the time I just like to sit and watch her sleep which is not the most productive thing in the world but she's so stinking cute.  I really don't know how some moms find the time to blog regularly while raising their kids and some have jobs too.  Do you guys sleep?  I remember when I had my son and I worked crazy hours, I really don't know how I did it.

I am trying to do a better job at time management though because I really enjoy blogging and vlogging and I don't want to be a slacker at it.  I'm going to come up with some sort of schedule that works hopefully because all my attempts seem to fail miserably!

Now with that all being said, I do somehow find time to shop!  I recently hauled some YSL goodies and the first one that I want to show you all is the blush of course.  I've become somewhat of a blush whore lover lately and I fell in love with this one when I saw swatches online.

The packaging is shiny gold as per all of the YSL makeup items that I own and they are a pain to photograph!  Glare for days but it is gorgeous to look at in person.

Now I can't do even a mini review on this one as I have only swatched it but my first impression is that it's a gorgeous color but it looks so tiny in the pan.  Also, I think this color is very dupeable and while I won't send it back, I definitely wouldn't purchase another one of these unless I really LOVE the color.

Do you indulge in high end blushes or do you find them to be overpriced and dupeable?

Foundation Routine

Jun 11, 2012

If you would have told me a couple years ago that I would be on youtube with no foundation on and rocking my real hair, I would have probably laughed in your face.  Yet here I am!  I posted my foundation routine on youtube and I am so proud of myself for having the confidence to do it.  I'm not perfect and I used to be so self conscious about my skin.  I have eczema, hyperpigmentation and get the occasional bump here and there but I'm okay with that.  I love the skin I'm in and makeup just enhances what I already like about myself.  It's taken me awhile to get to the place of contentment with my skin but I'm finally here.

I hope you all find this video helpful in some way.  Thanks as always for stopping by.

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 - Sugar

Jun 7, 2012

Trying to find a balance in this hectic life of mine.  I really need to devise some sort of schedule and stick to it.  Between my insomnia and my family, it seems like I never get enough sleep!  But anyway its about six in the morning and I'm up with the baby so I decided to go ahead and finish up my Sleek Blush post.  I still haven't tried any of the palettes except to swatch them which is really a shame.  I plan on slapping some makeup on this face today so hopefully I can post a Look of the Day soon.

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3
Purchased Shade:  Pink Sprint

$15.99 USD
Available at Sleek Makeup

This palette looks gorgeous but when swatched this seems to be the palette with the least pigmentation out of the 3 that I purchased.

Check out the haul video with all 3 palettes featured.  I also hauled some Revlon Lip Butters and I will post swatches of each color soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 - Flame

Jun 1, 2012

I lost focus on posting about my Sleek Makeup haul because of all of these exciting new MAC launches but I'm trying to catch up!  I'm finally back home and while I still haven't tested my blushes out, I wanted to share the haul with you all.  I plan on doing more Look of the Day posts soon so I will definitely feature some of the blushes in those and tell you my opinion.  If you have any specific requests, let me know.

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3
Purchased Shade:  Flame

Upon first glance, this is my favorite blush trio of the ones I bought but I am torn between this one and the Pink Sprint.

I can't wait to try the one in the middle and on the right!
