Sunday Favorites - Volume 3

Nov 20, 2011

Not many favorites this week.  My skin has been going nuts lately so I haven't really been that excited about wearing makeup.  I'm going on another water binge as I think I may be dehydrated.  My favorite thing this week has been the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark Deep.  I have been using this powder as a contour and to bring color back to my skin.  This has been an awesome addition to my collection and I love these powders.

Look of the Day 11.16.2011 Snapshot

Nov 16, 2011

Fell in love again with my Nars Dolce Vita lipgloss.  I also used my Urban Decay Naked Palette and Lancôme Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Foundation.  I have to say that I am really happy with all of the products and I would definitely repurchase them.

Sorry that I didn't get a chance to take a lot of pictures but I still wanted to give you a little snap shot of the look I did today.  Hope you like it!

I'm off to go drink more tea because I'm getting sick.  Boooo

MAC Hoard: Eyes and Lips

Nov 14, 2011

Yup I'm at it again. I've been looking at a few items from MAC and when I saw that Macy's had a beauty sample package going on online, I decided to finally cave in and get a few things.  I hauled an Eye Quad, an Eye Shadow, a Lipstick and a Lip Gloss.  With that purchase, I received this awesome bag of goodies you see below!

Products Purchased:
MAC Angel Flame Eye Shadow Quad
Shades Included:  Chamomile, Angel Flame, Feather Pink, Gravel
$38 USD
I really bought this quad because I fell in love with the Angel Flame eye shadow and I liked the other colors enough to justify the purchase.

MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadow
Shade: One to Watch
$20 USD
This is a gorgeous neutral color and I love how smooth the eye shadow feels.  I will definitely get more colors in this formula because I love it.

MAC Glitter & Ice Collection Lipstick
Shade: Such Flare
$15.50 USD

I'm a sucker for red lipstick....that is all!

MAC Pro Longwear Lipglass
Shade: Driven by Love
$18.50
This is my favorite purchase from all of the items that I purchased.  I love the color so much.  I wasn't sure about this purchase because a lot of people said that these were high maintenance glosses, but I found that if you don't apply a lot, they are awesome.  I want at least two more of these glosses.

Free Samples!

The samples that I received with this purchase were bananas.  I can't wait to try them out!

I hope you enjoyed my little haul.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Sunday Favorites - Volume II

Nov 13, 2011

I can't believe that I'm already doing another one of these posts! These weeks are truly flying by.  I had a few favorites last week and here they are.

I love these little figurines that my husband bought me from the Swarovski Crystal shop.  I keep them on top of my vanity and they twinkle in the sunlight.  So freakin adorable!  The hubs always gets great gifts but this is one of the best non-jewelry ones that I have received.

I can't believe that I'm actually starting to love nail polish.  This is probably because I have been doing my own nails lately and so I get bored with the same color.  I went to the local beauty shop here and picked up this nail polish and I love it.  It's a pretty peachy, pink color that compliments my skin tone very well.
China Glaze Nail Polish in Sunset Sail
The perfect nude lip gloss for me!  Amazing.  Love it.  Purse staple!
Urban Decay Wallflower Lip Gloss

While trying to shop my stash and use up some products, I fell in love with an old favorite of mine.  This double ended lip gloss is awesome.  The one side is a nude rosy color and the other a shimmery peach. They work well alone, together and on top of lipstick.  This duo has made it's way into my purse stash.

The next product has been sitting in my samples pile forever.  I finally tried this baby out after seeing it reviewed on http://addictedtoallthingspretty.com/.  I only use it to set my under eye concealer but it works like a dream.  Love it!
Laura Mercier Universal Invisible Loose Setting Powder

This conditioner is cheap and effective.  I love the way my curly hair is easily detangled after using this product.  It has become a must have product for me.
Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner

I'm really starting to enjoy these samples that I previously ignored.  The full size of this perfume is definitely going to be purchased soon because I love this scent.  The notes are said to be Honey Flower, Solar Musk, Orange Blossom, Osmanthus, Amberlyn, Vanilla, Tactile Musk, Tactile Woods and Vetiver.  The style is described as Warm, Sensual and Feminine.  Perfect Right!

Narciso Rodriguez For Her Eau de Toilette

Those were my favorite things from last week.  Hope you are having an awesome Sunday.

Urban Decay Friends and Family Sale 2011

Nov 11, 2011

I have been doing fairly well with resisting all of the Friends & Family sales that have been happening lately but I couldn't resist the Urban Decay sale.  The main reason that I decided to indulge was the fact that they allowed the discount to be used on the Naked Palette as well as sell items!  How awesome is that?  So of course I finally got my grubby little hands on the Naked Palette!  I also decided to get the Rollergirl Palette because it was on sale for $18.  With my purchase, Urban Decay also threw in a mini Lip Gloss in Wildflower.

FYI:  The sale was 20% off and free shipping with orders over $50

I know that most people already have the Naked Palette but it's new to me and since I've become a recent neutral lover, this was a near perfect purchase for me.

Products Purchased:
Urban Decay Naked Palette
Shades Included:  Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
$48 USD

I took the pictures in natural light but Sin and Sidecar still came out looking quite similar on my skin tone.

I can't wait to try some looks out with this palette and I think this will be my travel companion whenever I hit the road.

Next up is the Rollergirl Palette which I have eyed in the past put never indulged in since it didn't seem like anything special.  However, it is a lovely palette and for eighteen bucks, I couldn't resist.  The lip gloss and eyeliner are two of my favorite things about the purchase.

Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette
Shades Included:  Woodstock e/s, Verve e/s, Suspect e/s, Darkhorse e/s and Crush Lip Gloss
$32 USD  $18 USD

Free Gift:  Urban Decay mini Wallflower Lipgloss

This lip gloss will probably soon become my favorite nude lip gloss.  I'm in absolute love with it!

So did you haul anything from the Urban Decay Friends and Family sale?  Any sales going on now that you are hauling from?  Do tell!!!

Lancôme Hoard: Face and Lip Products

Nov 8, 2011

I'm on the hunt for the perfect foundation!  I love my Make Up For Ever HD foundation but it isn't readily available where I am right now (at least nowhere that I know of), so I am forced to find a substitute. I recently received two samples from the Lancôme counter and I've been loving them so I went back to get some full size foundations. This post has loads of pictures so click the button below if you wanna see all of the products in detail with swatches!

Sunday Favorite

Nov 6, 2011

So basically I'm such a space cadet lately that I can't seem to recall everything that I love in a month so I thought that I would keep it simple and just pick a favorite (or favorites) every week.

This week's favorite is NARS Lipstick in the color Funny Face.  I love that the color is a subdued wearable bright pink that can be amped up with a little gloss on top. I wore this with a lip gloss in my last post.
